Atalanta have strengthened their ranks by signing Torino right wing-back Raol Bellanova for a fee believed to be in the region of €25m. Atalanta had been searching for

a right-back for some time and had agreed a deal to sign Wesley from Flamengo, but turned their attention to Bellanova instead. Atalanta have now

agreed a deal worth €20m plus €5m in add-ons.

at AC Milan before moving to Bordeaux in France, where he made just one appearance. After a number of loan spells, including a spell at Atalanta in the second half of the 2019-20 season,

he gained experience at Pescara and Cagliari before signing permanently with the latter, before being loaned out to Inter Milan in the 2022-23 season.

Bellanova made 22 appearances for Inter in all competitions, winning the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana, as well as making his way to the Champions League final.

Last season, he ended up joining Torino on a permanent basis, where he made 37 league appearances, scoring one goal and providing seven assists.
